Hands-on experience in directing, designing and planning a community mural under the guidance of Master Muralist Susan Cervantes. Monthy every third Tuesday, 7-9 p.m., $50 per session ($40 for members). Pre-registration required. (Center also offers low-cost art classes for all ages, six days every week, on a drop-in basis.)

Includes exploration of Jacob's Pillow Curriculum in Motion® process. Offered on even years. Lab alumni eligible to co-teach with Pillow Artist Educator Celeste Miller during annual residencies in Berkshire County Schools.

This class explores the possibilities and pitfalls of using the arts to stimulate economic growth and build social capital. Students will “uncover why the creative economy is a major force in stimulating communities across the country, and explore how each community is unique.” Each student uses his/her community or community-based arts organization as a case study to: determine strengths and potentials; develop cross-sector partnerships with artists, business leaders and government officials; strategize how to attract investment and diversify economy; build social capital and more. Culminates in the creation of a Creative Economy plan unique to each case study. Taught by Tom Borrup. Enroll online.

Signature programs include the Ennis Beley Photography Project, MetLife Dance for Life, Make your own Radio Show, Pixel Nation, and the Artists-in-Education Long-term Residency Program, funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
