B.F.A. in Community Arts
California College of the Arts, Oakland and San Francisco
Interdisciplinary Community Arts Program emphasizing service learning, civic engagement and diversity issues. Curriculum combines coursework in humanities, sciences, arts administration and cultural diversity with Core studios, studio electives and a required internship. Draws on resources of the CCA Center for Art and Public Life (see entry), which creates partnerships with Bay Area public schools, health centers, nonprofit community organizations, museums, cultural centers and neighborhoods.
