Cultures and Communities Certificate Program
University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee
University-wide, interdisciplinary certificate. Curriculum focuses on the “community and cultural contexts of art, science, health and technology,” among other topics. Students participate in off-campus activities with arts, cultural and social-service organizations in the Milwaukee area. Student learning objectives: to understand democratic citizenship, develop multicultural understanding of artistic works and performances and gain collaboration skills. Optional service-learning trip to New Orleans available. Directed by Gregory Jay and Cheryl Ajirotutu.
