April 26th - 28th, Roadside Theater and Exchange Project partners Junebug Productions, of New Orleans, and Pregones Theater, of the South Bronx, will perform their collaborative musical, "Promise of a Love Song," and facilitate workshops as one part of the First Annual Tamejavi Festival, "Building Community Through Cultural Exchange," in Fresno, California.

The Tamejavi Festival will feature an outdoor marketplace for the whole family; networking opportunities for local and regional civic participation projects; music, theater, multi-media, poetry and art showcases that build the public voice, pride, and recognition of a diversity of Central Valley cultures; and interactive "Learning Labs" that provide opportunities to learn from one another and experiment with new approaches to building community.

The Festival is a project of The Civic Action Network, a part of Central Valley Partnership for Citizenship, with funding from The James Irvine Foundation.
