For those who do a lot of writing, Teaching Tolerance magazine (http://www.tolerance.org/teach/expand/mag/features.jsp?cid=294) is highlighting a new book by Dr. Susan Shaw and Janet Lockhart called "Writing for Change: Raising Awareness of Difference, Power, and Discrimination." The manual is written to help teachers, students, trainers and others "expose bias in language." Tolerance.org has made the manual available online at http://www.tolerance.org/teach/expand/wfc/index.html. It contains more than 50 free, downloadable activities for personal or instructional use.
It looks like a manual that might be valuable for both people and artists. (Just practicing my biased writing.)
