Today I received a toucing letter from the Pakistan International Peace & Human Rights Organization asking for help with school supplies. "Take our hands to make this world like heaven." It is so beautiful, I wanted to pass it along.

The Honorable Sir,
The Honorable Publisher,
The Honorable Friends/Colleagues,

I am very pleased to inform you that Pakistan International Peace & Human Rights Organization is an independent, non-profit, non-political & non-governmental organization. We have been working in the fields of
. Peace. . Human Rights.. Education. . Health. . Justice. .Development. . Environment . Advocacy. .Conflict prevention. .Disaster Relief & . Gender in the under developed country like Pakistan.
PIPHRO's commitment to improving the quality of education through community participation is the basis for the success of its development efforts and networking with its partners, including the government, NGOs, Private institutions, and donors. It aims to develop human resources by training teachers and personnel of NGOs and CBOs working for non formal basic and primary education, as well as to empower poor rural and low-income urban communities to take ownership of their schools. It supports the educational effort and ensures its sustainability by providing training, learning, and advocacy material in the national language.
PIPHRO believe that community participation is essential to ensure that quality education is available to the majority of children. PIPHRO has currently established 7 community-based schools for children of primary-school. In schools there are 13 female teachers, who teach 279 children, mostly girls. With the hard work of our President Fayaz Hussain Abro who is going to open a Public Library in our area. For that great work we are getting books from our donors around the world.
It has been a matter of great honour and pride that we still have souls among the heaps of carcasses. These souls rather than running away are determined to put life in this dead nation. Like so many other people I, also, hold the belief that this country, plunged in ignorance, illiteracy, and physical, moral and ethical diseases, needs a "Masiha" to cure its afflictions. No one on the face of earth suffers the pains of these afflictions but the poorest of poors. A deep look into the matters compels us to think ... in the words of an intellectual "Quo Vidas! Where are we going"! (Apologies for any mistake in the quote).
We the poor people have poor minds that think poor. Why people should agree to it? They won't for they are poor with poor mind that think poor. And why should people not be so, when they are systematically traumatized and kept poor through years. Now, they are not only physically poor but mental poverty has dropped them in abyss of abject ignorance. Who did this all? Who is responsible for it? We need to tell people it. We need to wake these sleeping slaves. They are slaves! Why should not they be, when they have no right to enjoy and no authority to exercise?
Now the question is how to make people understand that they are ignorant, illiterate, and physically, morally and ethically ill, along with being slaves? How will they know the culprits of their states?
Answer is very simple and clear, "Through Education".
The puzzle solved?
"No, not yet."
A million dollar question is yet to be answered i.e.
"Who will educate them?"
Again the answer is very simple and clear, but ... more bitter, more expensive, more laborious! "Me and You."
So, I personally request you that please send us the Books on Science & Technology, Geography, Literature, Art, Poetry, Fiction, Novels for our Library. For our school please send us the pencils, pens, shoulder bags, hand bags, geometry boxes reading and reference material for teachers, training manuals for trainers, resource packs, dictionaries CD's and other related material. If there is difficult for you to send Books to our country (mailing cost) than please send us the amount either to your embassy in our country for purchasing books or directly to us, so that we purchase required material for both school & library. So that children as well as people from every walk of life come & get knowledge and become responsible citizen of the country. If you are not in position to support us, than kindly send us the name of the other persons/Agencies who support us & become the part of this great work. So, that we achieve the sustainability & keep on going with this great mission.
I will be very happy to get the positive response from your side. I do hope for your help to meet and make our dreams true. Take our hands to make this world like heaven.

EVEN A GOOD WORD IS CHARITY! (AL-HADITH)

Thanks.
In Peace & Love!
Truly Yours.
