Call for Papers: Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium
Villanova University, Villanova PA

Conference Theme:
Production Concept and Performance Analysis
January 16 2009

The Philadelphia Theatre Research Symposium is seeking abstracts for papers for our third annual gathering of theatre scholars. This year's PTRS seeks to highlight the work of new scholars in the area of production concept and performance studies. This symposium offers the opportunity to present work in progress and to share ideas with other researchers. We are seeking papers which engage a broad range of topics in theatre and drama studies including, performance analysis, gender, politics, and cultural theory.

We are proud to announce that this year’s symposium will launch an accompanying journal. This journal will provide a publishing opportunity for some of the papers presented. This journal will include established scholars but seeks to create publishing opportunities for new scholars and interesting practioners in the area of theatre and drama.

Abstracts of 250 words or less should be submitted to Dr. David Cregan at david.cregan@villanova.edu.

The deadline for submission is December 10, 2008.
