Philanthropist Eli Broad and filmmaker Chike Nwoffiah are the featured speakers at the Conference for Community Arts Education in Los Angeles, Calif., November 7-10, 2007. Sponsored by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts, the conference includes tracks on programming, partnership, leadership & governance, development, marketing and research and participants will also visit L.A. area arts education organizations. An awards ceremony will honor educator Iona Benson and choreographer Liz Lerman for their contributions to community arts education. An Arts Education Expo will feature vendors and manufacturers of software, technology and materials for the field.
