Teaching Artists Blogging Major Arts Conferences

The Association of Teaching Artists has begun publishing online blogs from important arts conferences across the U.S. ATA is a service organization for teaching artists in all disciplines in New York State. One of its goals is to support the growth, visibility and impact of teaching artists on the national arts scene. To that end, it's taken the unusual step of sending a teaching artist to blog major U.S. arts conferences. Beginning in June 2006, teaching artists have blogged the Arts in Education Pre-conference at the Americans for the Arts convention in Milwaukee, the American Symphony Orchestra’s Leadership Conference in Los Angeles, the Dance/USA Roundtable Conference in Portland and the Higher Order Thinking (H.O.T.) Schools Institute in Connecticut. [LINK] Posted by Linda Frye Burnham
