September 13, 2005 Second NEA Arts Journalism Institute Set for USC
The NEA and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California have announced the second NEA Arts Journalism Institute in Theater and Musical Theater.
Set for January 9-20, 2006, in L.A. at USC, it's part of a series of linked programs across the country that focus on improving arts criticism and coverage of theater, classical music, opera and dance. The institute is rigorous ten-day program of workshops, lectures, performances and encounters with theater professionals like Bill Rausch, Luis Alfaro and Ben Cameron. Eligible to apply are mid-career theater critics, editors and reporters. Most costs -- including travel, room, board and performance tickets -- are covered by the NEA Institute. Deadline to apply is October 24, 2005.
